
Egemen Işık serves as Of Counsel (Academic Advisor) to Koçak | Sayım | Örnek, providing academic perspective and rigorous doctrinal analysis on complex private law issues. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Law at Marmara University Faculty of Law.
He received his LL.B. from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2013, followed by a master’s degree in Private Law from Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences in 2016 and a Ph.D. in Private Law from the same institution in 2024. His academic career at Marmara University dates back to 2015 and encompasses research, teaching and scholarly work across a broad range of private law disciplines.
His principal areas of academic focus include Civil Law, the Law of Obligations, contractual relationships, the Law of Representation, Intellectual Property Law, Consumer Law and Property Law. His graduate research focused in particular on loss of rights through acquiescence in trademark law and the liability of unauthorized representatives, which remain two of his core areas of scholarly expertise.
Egemen is the author of two books published by On İki Levha Publishing: ‘’Loss of Rights Through Acquiescence in Trademark Law and Liability of the Unauthorized Representative’’. His wider academic work includes articles, book chapters and conference papers addressing various aspects of private law. His scholarship combines doctrinal analysis with close attention to the practical effects of legal rules, providing an academic framework for complex questions of interpretation, contractual relationships, liability and private law disputes.
He has completed specialist mediation training in consumer, employment and commercial law, as well as general mediation training for legal disputes, together with training in Sports Law and Management. At Koçak | Sayım | Örnek, Egemen contributes to the analysis of complex legal issues by drawing on legal doctrine, academic scholarship and current developments in private law.
